How Can We Help?

Let's face it - no matter the topic, family matters can be difficult to discuss. After all, feelings and/or personal convictions are involved. Choosing the right professional to help guide these discussions is crucial.

Separation Agreements

It’s important to understand the difference between separation and divorce. For example, even when living apart, separated spouses remain legally married and cannot marry another person. While there may not be a need to formalize a separation, by involving the court, for a number of reasons, it’s a good idea to put the terms of your separation in writing.

Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements

A prenuptial agreement is a legally enforceable contract between people who intend to marry each other that, among other things, outlines their rights and obligations during the marriage and in the event of divorce. A postnuptial agreement is similar, with the main difference being it is entered into after marriage.

Marital Settlement Agreements

A Marital Settlement Agreement is a binding contract between spouses who intend to divorce that resolves all issues arising from their marriage. Provisions may include, for example, agreements related to child custody, child support, alimony, division of property, and health insurance.

Parenting Plans/ Child Custody Agreements

Parents may need to make agreements delegating their respective rights and responsibilities to their child(ren) and each other, including how they make decisions for their child(ren) and how they share time with their child(ren).
